Edo State Deputy Governor, Engr Godwins Omobayo, has assured the people of ward 04 in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of more infrastructural development, upon assumption of office by Asue Ighodalo as Edo State Governor, come November 12 .
The Deputy Governor gave the assurance during a sensitization rally, organized by the leadership and supporters of PDP in the ward, as part of its campaign for the upcoming September 21, govership election.
It was a carnival-like event, as son of the soil, Omobayo(Deputy Governor) and his entourage were treated to a rousing reception.
The Deputy Governor who was highly elated by the massive turnout of the people and residents of the area, assured them of inclusive participation when Asue Ighodalo assume office as Governor of Edo State.
He charged the people of ward 04 to get their Permanent Voter Cards(PVCs) ready to vote enmasse for Asue Ighodalo and his running mate, Osarodion Ogie, come September 21 to consolidate the developmental strides of Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration.
PDP chairman, Kayode Oginubi, woman leader, Elizabeth Salami and a party stalwart, Humphrey Adewumi, represented by Lazarus Akeredolu, commended Governor Godwin Obaseki for appointing their son as Deputy Governor, while pledging the readiness of the people to vote for Asuen Ighodalo in order to sustain the developmental strides of the present administration.
In another engagement, Edo State Deputy Governor, Engr Godwins Marvellous Omobayo, also paid an on the spot assessment visit to the 18.5km Ojirami-Ibillo road, which stretched across six different communities and wards in the locality.
Flag-off for the construction of the road is expected to be officially performed by Governor Godwin Obaseki in the coming days.
